Neal Orozco

Neal Orozco

Partner — Construction & Rehab Lending
NMLS #267115 · Chicago, IL

Neal leads our spec construction and fix-and-flip rehab lending practice, bringing more than two decades of experience in the mortgage industry. He has held senior branch leadership roles at All Western Mortgage, Synergy One Lending, Guaranteed Rate, and American Financial Network, where he built and led high-performing production teams focused on builders and value-add investors.

His approach to underwriting is straightforward: understand the project, understand the operator, and structure capital that allows the deal to truly pencil. It’s a philosophy grounded not just in lending, but in firsthand exposure to the building side of the business—his father has been a licensed builder for 17 years, and Neal spent a decade working alongside him, helping grow the company and gaining practical insight into project execution.

  • Deep specialty in spec new construction and structural rehab

The Matrix Team

The team running our modern stack

From technology to sales to client service — the operators making sure every Matrix deal moves on time and nothing slips through the cracks.

Luke Sikora

Luke Sikora

Chief Technology Officer
University of Alabama

Luke leads all technology at Matrix — building the borrower-facing site, the internal tooling, and the AI-driven workflows that handle scenario intake, document review, and pipeline operations. A full-stack developer studying at the University of Alabama, he's the engine on the operations side that makes a 7-day close even possible.

His philosophy is simple: every minute saved on a workflow is a minute returned to actually pricing the deal. He builds the stack so the lending team can focus on what they're best at.

  • Full-stack development across the Matrix site, CRM, and underwriting tools
  • AI-driven automation for scenario intake and document review
  • Builds the systems that turn 14-day closes into 7-day closes

Jen runs operations at Matrix, bringing 20+ years of experience in file flow management and borrower relationships. She's the connective tissue between origination, processing, and close — making sure every deal moves through the pipeline on time and nothing stalls between intake and funding.

Her approach: a well-run file is a closed file. Two decades of operations work have given her a sixth sense for where deals get stuck, and she clears the path before the borrower ever feels friction.

  • 20+ years of operations and file flow management experience
  • Owns borrower relationships from intake through funding
  • Connects origination, processing, and close into one flow
Kaitlin Maier

Kaitlin Maier

Business Development Manager
Madison, WI

Kaitlin leads B2B partnerships at Matrix — building and managing relationships with brokers, referral partners, and capital allies across the country. She qualifies every partner to make sure their book of business is a real match for what Matrix lends on, so both sides get a productive long-term relationship instead of one-off deals.

Her approach is consultative, not transactional. She digs into a partner's pipeline, asks the right questions about their typical deal profile, and only moves forward when there's a clear fit — which is why Matrix's broker partnerships convert at the rate they do.

  • Owns B2B broker and referral partner relationships
  • Qualifies partners for fit before any deal hits the desk
  • Builds long-term partnership pipelines, not one-off deals

Our Story

Built by lenders who know how builders think

Traditional banks weren't built for the way real estate investors actually work. Decisions take weeks. Underwriting hinges on tax returns and W-2s. Deals die because the capital can't move at the speed of a closing.

Matrix Commercial Capital was founded to solve that. We're a private capital firm focused on builders, flippers, and portfolio investors who need a lender that closes what it quotes — and does it in days, not months.

From ground-up new construction and structural rehabs to long-term DSCR rentals and bridge financing, our programs are designed around how real deals actually get done.

What We Stand For

The principles behind every deal

We're not a bank. We're operators who've been on every side of the table — and we lend like it.

Certainty of Close

We close what we quote. No re-trades, no last-minute surprises, no rate-and-term shell games once you're under contract.

Speed Without Shortcuts

Most deals close in under 30 days. We move fast because we underwrite the deal first — not 12 months of bank statements.

Built for Operators

Our team has financed, built, and held real estate. We speak the language — and we structure capital around how the deal actually works.

No Financial Gymnastics

Asset-based lending. No tax returns, no W-2s, no pay stubs. The property and the plan tell us what we need to know.

Chicago Roots, National Reach

Founded in Chicago with deep Midwest market knowledge. Active across the country wherever investors are getting deals done.

Long-Term Partnership

One deal is the start, not the end. We're built to grow with our borrowers — through the next flip, the next build, the next portfolio.

How We Work

A simple, operator-friendly process

No bureaucracy. No call-center loops. Direct access to the people making the decisions.

01

Tell us about the deal

Submit a quick scenario form or call us directly. We focus on the property, the project, and the plan — not your tax returns.

02

Get a real answer in 72 hours

You'll hear from a principal, not an algorithm. Term sheets that reflect how the deal actually structures up.

03

Close in 30 days or less

In-house underwriting and draw management mean fewer hand-offs, fewer surprises, and a faster path to funding.

04

Build the relationship

The first deal is just the start. We grow with our borrowers across flips, builds, and long-term portfolios.
